Over the summer, Hinds Community College head basketball coach, Ralph Moore, made a slam dunk hire. Moore added Jackson native, Randy Bolden, to his staff as an assistant coach. Bolden comes to Hinds after spending the last nine seasons as the head coach at Meridian High School. He led the Wildcats to a state title in 2011. Bolden was very influential in the development of current Utah Jazz forward Rodney Hood. Before his stop at Meridian High School, he served as the head coach at Pearl High School for three years. "I am very excited about the opportunity to be a part of the Hinds family. It feels good to be back in the Jackson area and I can't wait to coach in this league" said Bolden. Bolden will handle the scouting and recruiting efforts for the team this season.
